Je me souviens

Here's a poem that I've thought over for a couple of weeks.

I Remember

 I remember
George Allen's favorite food
was vanilla ice cream
so that he could 
think about football
all the time.

 I remember
Richard Nixon having
to stay indoors
on the Fourth of July
and eat vanilla ice cream
while his friends
shot off firecrackers.

 I remember
these things
for no reason.
